IN reply to Rose Ballard (Your Letters, May 3), I would like to offer apologies on behalf of the Malvern group of Save the Children.
The delivery and collection of Save the Children bags for the Worcester shop, I am told, is organised by the Probation Service and is in no way connected to the work of the Malvern fundraisers. We appreciate and are most grateful to all our generous supporters in the area and are embarrassed and upset that anyone is being caused inconvenience by a service connected to Save the Children. We have expressed our concern to the relevant officers and can only hope it does not happen again.
JOAN GIBSON, secretary, Malvern group of Save the Children College Grove, Malvern.
