PAM Ellis and Pat Woodhouse fired a gross 76 nett 63 to claim Sapey Golf Club's Mixed Greensomes Cup.

In second place, two shots back, were Diane Leadbetter and Richard Moore with a gross 87 and nett 65, while Ann Billingham and Merv Billingham were third with a gross 86 and nett 67.

Ellis and Woodhouse also claimed £28 for a two on the par three 17th.

In the club's May midweek medal Greg Smith fired a nett 67, gross 81 to beat Bill Harper who had a nett 68, gross 78 while Pat Woodhouse had a nett 69, gross 81.

Division two was won by D. Price with a nett 62, gross 88, from P. Waring in second with a nett 69, gross 85 and Barry Kendall in third with a nett 69, gross 87.

Meanwhile, club captain Ron Milbourne ended the juniors' monopoly of Perdiswell Park's early season competitions when he fired a six-under-par nett 62 to win the May medal.

In second place and a shot behind was James Newman while Neville Baird's better back nine in his round of nett 64 kept him ahead of vice captain Chris Case and Cyril Misters who both scored the lowest gross 80 of the day.

The ladies medal was won impressively by Alison Rob-erts whose nett 62 gave her a winning margin of eight shots over second placed Olwyn Griffiths's nett 70 and Mary Ingram's nett 74 took third place.
