OVER a hundred amateur singers travelled from across the country to Hereford to take part in a choral workshop dedicated to the composer Sir Edward Elgar.
The workshop, held earlier this month, was to study and perform Elgar's The Music Makers, which Sir Edward based on O'Shaughnessy's poem during his time in Hereford.
The singers were accompanied at Hereford's College for the Blind by Paul James and soloist Janet Hay.
The event was organised on behalf of the Elgar in Hereford group.
The group presents a programme of concerts and workshops as it works to raise money to build a statue commemorating the composer.
