West Malvern Social Club promises to be a swinging spot over the Jubilee weekend, starting with a spring fare on Saturday, June 1 from 2pm-4pm, with the usual tombola, white elephant and other stalls and refreshments available. Then on Monday, June 3, the club will be staging an all-day celebration from noon until late at night. From 3pm-5pm there will be an OAPs' party and old-fashioned singalong. Transport will be available for anyone who needs help to get to the club - ring Nola Pearson on 573259. In the evening from 7pm there will be a barbecue and fireworks and an all-day disco will be in operation, and everyone in the village will be welcome.

West Malvern's other Jubilee event will be the Ceilidh, previously mentioned in this column, to be held at the Village Hall on Saturday, June 1 from 8pm-11.30pm. Contact is Mike Salter on 565211.
