THE annual parish meeting was held on May 14. There were five councillors present, the clerk and county councillor Tom Wells. The chairman Roger Perry was re-elected. The vice-chairman John Wilkes stood down and John Lewis was duly elected. In his report the chairman thanked the clerk for her work and, despite moving from the parish, Mrs V Toegel has agreed to continue as clerk until a replacement can be found. The annual open meeting followed with six villagers attending. No issues of any significance were raised, the meeting closed at 9.20pm.

Sadly there are to be no street parties in Bushley over the Jubilee weekend. The only event arranged is a Progressive Supper, three homes have agreed to be hosts for starters, main course and desserts. We hope it will be a fine evening when everyone can walk between the hosts. Any monies raised will benefit St Peter's Church. The Jubilee fete is to be held on Bushley Green on Saturday, June 22, followed by a barbecue and fireworks.
