FOUR sixth formers cleaned up for multiple sclerosis sufferers with a weary day scrubbing their teachers' cars.

Pershore High School pupils Laura Buckle, Rowena Rawes, Michelle McGovern and Heather Cryer got stuck in to the task to raise £200 for a new centre being built at Evesham hospital.

And after a day handcuffed together, the girls topped up the pot with another £100.

"We decided to help because Laura's godmother has MS and her godfather is one of the people setting up the centre," said Miss Rawes.

"At the moment, it is part of the hospital but, hopefully, the money will help them set up on their own one day."

Deputy head Clive Corbett said he was extremely proud of the teenagers' "selfless" act.

"They decided to raise this money off their own bat," he said.

"They've made us really proud and certainly did a good job on my car."
