Members of Habberley WI met on May 9 when annual awards were made to overall competition winners for 2001/2002.
Betty Wilks received an award for the highest number of monthly competitions and Dorothy Davis for the Flower of the Month competitions.
Dorothy was also presented with the Dorothy Szymanski memorial crystal vase.
The winner of the Denman Bursary draw 2002 was Dorothy Pickering, Averil Powell was runner-up.
Two members agreed to attend the gardening design seminar at Franche.
Sylvia Perkins spoke to members about the public affairs and constitution resolutions to be discussed at the forthcoming IGM at Brighton.
The next meeting will be the grand Jubilee dinner at the Gainsborough House Hotel, Kidderminster, on Thursday, June 13, at 7pm for 7.30pm.
