WITH reference to the letter headed 'Hospital going cheap' in you issue of April 25, as Dysphasia Support Organiser working for the Stroke Association I too would welcome our hospital being returned to its original state.

But for me to read Mr Watt's letter saying we have a spare one here is an insult to all those staff who are working very hard to provide services.

Generally most people do not need emergency treatment but many people will have to use those services I have mentioned so please do not disregard our hospital.

There are many staff doing a wonderful job and giving good quality of care and treatment for which, on behalf of myself, my patients and carers, I would like to say a big thank-you.
