A MAN from Kidderminster is awaiting sentence after pleading guilty to setting fire to his flat.
Colin Aveyard, 20, of Windsor Drive, admitted arson on March 22 while reckless whether the lives of other people in the block of flats would be endangered. He denied arson intending to endanger lives and this plea was accepted by the prosecution.
Judge Michael Mott remanded him in custody for a psychiatric report, saying that there was often mental illness in the background of arson cases.
