MORE than 80 Wyre Forest groups will share an £18,500 jackpot thanks to a charity pantomime.
The Monday Night Group, based at Stourport Civic Centre, held a presentation evening in Stourport on Tuesday at which cheques were handed out to 83 worthy causes.
Jack and the Beanstalk was the group's 36th annual pantomime and 12 performances were held at the civic centre at the end of January.
The giant in the pantomime appeared courtesy of a nine-screen video wall.
The group's profits have been donated to charity since 1981 - and the latest round of donations means the sum raised over the past 21 years is nearly £190,000.
Anyone interested in joining the Monday Night Group can contact secretary Cathy Carrier on 01905 617326.
