CANOE polo prospect Mark Harper has been earmarked as one of the future stars of the emerging sport.
Harper is in England's U-21 development squad after impressing scouts playing for National Youth League champions Blakedown Scout Group.
And the Haybridge High School student, involved in the sport for three years, was due to compete in a tournament in France.
Harper said: "I was excited and honoured to have been picked to represent my country.
"I must thank everyone at the scout group and school for supporting me over the past few years."
Harper hopes to break into the senior squad in the future.
