A TV interviewer on May 14 seemed to suggest that England had to deal with the problem of asylum seekers.

The interview was in response to public objection to Throckmorton becoming an asylum centre.

I do not understand why asylum seekers are our problem. They are the problem of the countries from whence they came and it is shameful that the Government 'passes the buck' to asylum centres.

It is irresponsible to expect the electorate to do the job of Government, tolerate cultures and bear the cost.

Asylum centres will invite BNP candidates into constituencies then how does Government think we will respond.

To start with why not make the Channel Tunnel a failed dream and suspend all handouts and freebies.

Asylum seekers should be told that in England there is no such thing as a free meal.
