FIRE crews are to join forces with police and Redditch Council to try to cut the number of bin and rubbish blazes.
A recent initiative at Woodrow Centre to curb the high number of rubbish fires was successful.
And as the summer approaches, Sub-officer Allan Bennett, of Redditch fire station, said the number of rubbish fires across town was expected to creep up.
The hot spot areas to be targeted next included Edgeworth Close in Church Hill and Winyates.
