AN application for a telecommunication mast in Alvechurch has been delegated to Bromsgrove's head of planning for consideration.
Hutchinson 3G UK Limited wants to erect a 20m high tower, two dishes, three antennas, an equipment cabinet and fenced compound on land off Billesley Lane, a wooded area next to the M42.
The application was discussed at a Bromsgrove Council planning committee meeting last week.
A council spokesman said the proposal conflicted with Local Plan policy because it did not fall under any of the instances where development would be allowed in the green belt, although there were special circumstances.
But the spokesman said an increase in possible health concerns associated with mobile phone equipment should be noted.
