CCTV in and around High Street is forcing would-be troublemakers into Gashouse Lane, an Alcester resident has claimed.
The resident, who does not want to be named, has now written to police asking them to do something about people gathering in the area, usually after the pubs have closed.
Town councillor Adrian Smart, who lives in the area, has backed up the complaints.
Insp Tim Bailey, of Alcester police, said: "CCTV can disperse crime to other areas not covered by the cameras but this part of Alcester has at times been a problem before the cameras were installed.
"Warwickshire Police now have mobile CCTV camera vans and will be using them across the district to target areas of crime not already covered by static CCTV schemes."
