DEAR EDITOR - Not wishing to be another to jump on the anti-council bandstand - sorry bandwagon - but it seems yet again, with all the Bank Holidays at this time of year, that we are left to fester in our own waste.
Having moved from Coventry to Bromsgrove a few years ago, I was appalled to find how poor the refuse collection was.
Although Coventry, as an area, is not a patch on Bromsgrove, one thing they do have is that when you pay your council tax you do get a good service provided.
Not only do they provide you with a wheelie bin, they also plan collections around Bank Holidays so you are not left with two weeks worth of rubbish outside your house - as, yet again, we have been this past week.
I can only assume that the huge council tax rise, which is being forced upon us, will improve a very sub-standard service.
Mr J Tracey,
Swift Close,
Bromsgrove.
