MARK Dudley completed an excellent comeback season by picking up two of his club championship trophies to add to the Evesham Journal Lower Division Singles Trophy he collected earlier in the season when Littleton held its finals and presentation night.

Dudley won the Ken Baker Open Singles beating his Loopers' teammate, Martin Brown.

Dudley was always in command as Brown struggled to cope with his top spin and side spin serve winning 11-4, 11-9, 11-9.

Dudley had earlier collected the Rob Sexton Handicap Singles Trophy with a close victory over young Adrian Witts.

Playing two games up to 21 starting at love all, Witts received a handicap of 12 points per game.

Dudley won 21-6, 21-11 giving him victory by one point 42-41 (17+24).

The Karakal Cadet Singles final proved another disappointment for Martin Brown when he was beaten by another of his Loopers team mates Andrew Taylor.

The game featured some fast, hard hitting rallies with Taylor powering to a 11-3, 11-5, 6-11, 11-5 success.

Supermarine teammates Rob Sexton and Terry Lown found themselves in opposition in the Richard Lasota Handicap drawn doubles final.

Sexton partnered Leopards' Freddie Beswick and Lown with Dolphins' James Coy.

In an entertaining game Sexton and Beswick went two up 11-7, 11-7 only to be hauled back to 2-2 after 11-7, 11-6 set wins.

Sexton and Beswick got a good start in the decider and went on to win 11-3 with both pairs starting on scratch.

The Chris McLean Beginners Singles for novice players was fought out by pals Patrick Watson and Oliver Johnson who have only been attending coaching for a month.

In a close attacking game it was Johnson who came out on top 14-12, 11-6, 8-11, 11-6.
