MIDFIELDER Richie Appleby has turned down Kidderminster Harriers' offer of a new contract, paving the way to join former boss Jan Molby at Hull City.
The 26-year-old, who made a big impression at Aggborough after signing from Swansea City on a free transfer, is now set to leave Harriers on June 30 when his current deal ends.
Appleby has refused the "generous" offer from new boss Ian Britton and is now likely to be linked with a string of clubs, including Hull.
The playmaker, a former England youth international, is expected to have contract talks with Molby next week.
And Britton will now step up his search for potential replacements before he leaves for holiday in just over a week.
He hopes to sign two new players later in the summer to improve the squad.
Meanwhile, Molby has made his first capture at Hull in Newcastle United midfielder Stuart Green on a season-long loan.
