PERSHORE Town chairman Tony Bradstock is to stand down after 14 years.
He told his fellow committee members in a letter that he does not wish to be considered for re-election at next month's annual meeting.
He has been chairman ever since the club was formed in 1988, and oversaw their rise through the Midland Combin-ation to the Midland Alliance.
Bradstock said in his letter: "I am now finding it difficult to raise the enthusiasm required to do the job correctly.
"I therefore feel that in the interests of the club, the time has come for a change."
He thanked committee members for their support and pledged his backing for the club and his successor.
The club is also seeking a new general secretary after Don Roberts decided to retire.
Roberts, who was also treasurer, had been in the post for four years, having previously been secretary at Upton Town and Worcester Athletico.
Anyone interested in the posts should contact press officer Cyril Millward on 01386-555385.
