WORCESTER Rugby Club have offered Chris Hall a new contract after admitting their chase for Ace Tiatia had ended.
The Samoan -- who played in Harlequins' vital 40-16 win over now relegation favourites Leeds Tykes last night -- has been offered an improved deal to stay on at The Stoop.
Director of rugby John Brain had been talking to Tiatia over a move to Sixways but Harlequins have pulled out the stops to keep him in the Premiership.
That news, however, is good for Hall who now looks certain to extend his Worcester career. The 22-year-old has been offered a one-year-deal and will battle with new signing Chris Pearson for the number two jersey if he agrees to stay on.
"I think Chris wants to stay," said Brain. "He appreciates what's going on at Worcester.
"The wait has been about budgets more than anything else. Chris' signature will mean we will have signed 13 of the players that started against Exeter last month.
Meanwhile, former England manager Geoff Cooke has ended his role as chief executive at Sixways. Finance director Chris Laidlaw has taken over his duties amid a management reshuffle.
Brain's new title -- director of rugby -- makes him responsible for all professional rugby management at Sixways, in-cluding Worcester's academy.
