DOREEN Lloyd, of Kidderminster, spent weeks making a special carpet for the Queen at Tomkinsons 40 years ago.
It was a gift from a national organisation, the Federation of British Carpet Manufacters, to mark the visit by the Queen to an exhibition in Earl's Court, London, in 1959.
Its pattern was picked by the Queen and adapted by the head designer at Tomkinsons, Edward Jones.
Mrs Lloyd said: "It was one of the most difficult I worked on.
"I felt very proud when I spotted it in a national newspaper years later - the Queen Mother was sitting on a golden chair on my carpet for an official photograph to mark her 90th birthday."
