AN Irish dancing troupe from Bidford put themselves firmly on the map with a fine display at the Royal Albert Hall.
Girls and boys aged between 6 and 19 from the McCarthy-Felton School of Irish Dancing, appeared on stage at the famous London venue as part of the "Stars In The Round" performance which showcased demonstrations of all types of dance, from Ballet to Street and Tap to Rap, last Saturday.
Principal Mary McCarthy-Felton said: "We have appeared in many dance shows over the past couple of years at venues like The Palladium, Her Majesty's, and Sadler's Wells in London and locally at the NIA, NEC and The Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham, but this really tops the lot.
"The challenge to choreograph and stage a performance of the size required to fill the huge floorspace of the Royal Albert Hall has been enormous, but we have enjoyed every minute.
"Doing a show like this is very inclusive and all play their part and share the same spotlight."
The dancing school would also like to hear from new pupils aged between four and 19, who would be interested in joining classes at Bidford.
