The April 4 meeting held at Cutnall Green Memorial Hall, hosted by Brockencote to celebrate its 10th birthday, was attended by nearly 100 members.
The first speaker was Liz Davies, a Worcestershire executive member who said that the "jam and Jerusalem" image was acceptable but the public needs to be made aware of the more important and interesting issues that WIs are involved with.
The property manager of Snowshill Manor in the Cotswolds, Denise Edwards, using slides to illustrate her talk, told the history of the house, its owner and the large eclectic collection he amassed. It is now on display there.
When the house is "put to bed" for the winter all the thousands of items are put in specially made covers.
