THE managing director of a Hartlebury company put on an exhausting show of support for his firm's chosen charity when he completed the London Marathon in just over five hours on Sunday.
Dale Parmenter, the top man at the DRP Group on the Ikon Trading Estate, is set to hand over more than £2,000 to Voluntary Service Overseas after joining about 35,000 others for the 26-mile run around the capital.
VSO, an international development charity which works through volunteers, is the chosen charity of the DRP Group, which specialises in presentations, video productions, creative design and multimedia projects.
Mr Parmenter said he was exhausted but overjoyed when he crossed the finishing line.
And DRP Group creative director Richard Hingley, who cheered on his colleague in the capital, added: "Dale says never, but I'm sure it won't be long before he's counting down the days until he can do it all over again."
