WORCESTER badminton ace Simon Archer is through to the third round of the men's doubles at the European Championships in Malmo, Sweden.
Archer and Graham Hurrell beat Spanish duo Joce Antonio Crespo and Sergio Llopis Solis in a tense five-setter 0-7, 8-6, 7-4, 4-7, 7-4.
But there was no joy for Archer and Jo Goode in the mixed doubles. They were beaten 7-5, 8-6, 1-7, 7-5 by Chris Bruil and Lotte Jonathans of Holland.
