SUNDAY has been designated earth Day.
This is a chance for us all to acknowledge our responsibility to care for the earth and to work to change attitudes and behaviour which have damaged our planet.
I would like to suggest that everyone who can, does something on this day, even if it is only to pick up that empty drinks can or crisp packet.
Everywhere one looks is littered with broken bottles and empty take-away containers, as well as dog mess, which some people seem to think is beneath them to clear up.
So please help make this day special by spending a little time making our part of the world a joy to live in.
Show this planet that you care.
