THE league's longest serving club without a trophy finally came good when Defford and Besford United gained the point needed to secure the Division Four title.

Defford led with goals from Barton and Thomas until the final ten minutes when Servicemen's hit back with a Chris Malin double to set up a tense finish but the leaders held out much to the relief of their supporters.

Mountinneers remain on course for second spot following a comfortable win at Tewkesbury Town Res with goals from Simpson (4), Rowland (3), and Page.

Salford Rovers secured promotion from Division Three as a first half strike from Green defeated Broadway. Champions Ambassador hit 14 past Bidford Bulls with Neil Emms hitting four.

Second division Pebworth secured their survival with victory at Moreton Town which condemned the home side to relegation. Pebworth scored through Clevely (2) and Hollands with Town replying with goals from Allen and Balhatchet.

Upton Snodsbury only need a point for the title after Willersey's surprise loss to Red Horse.

Tewkesbury Town avoided relegation from Division One with a fine win at Badsey Rec. Town's goals came from Rigby and Bury.

Evesham WMC maintained their title hopes with a home win against Mickleton Ran-gers. The Workies scored through Hemsley (2), Steeds, Major, Beddoes and Harris.

Peopleton reached the Tew-kesbury Sports Knockout Cup final with a 2-0 victory over Pershore. Second half goals from Voyce and Peterson set up a final showdown with neighbours Upton Snodsbury.

The final of the Black and White Garages Bluck Cup will be held on Sunday at Blockley SC (6) between Salford Rovers and Mountinneers.
