Bromyard Tn 2, Bishampton Utd 2

STRIPPED of six regulars Bishampton were denied victory by a late goal..

Despite having plenty of possession the hosts failed to trouble Rob Bille in the visitors' goal.

Having weathered the early storm United repeatedly caught Bromyard on the break and, after 20 minutes, they got their reward when Paul Jeffcoat sent a powerful shot past the Town keeper.

The visitors threatened Bromyard with every attack and it was no surprise when they increased the lead.

This time Jeffcoat turned provider. He broke clear on the right before crossing for Andrew Murphy to score.

Minutes before the interval 16-year-old Adam McNich-olas had the opportunity to take the game away from Bromyard but the shot over the bar from eight yards with only the keeper to beat.

The second period saw the home team regain control of the game and put the visitors defence under pressure and Bille saved well low down from a James shot.

A long Bille kick sent McNicholas through but his attempted lob cleared both the keeper and the goal.

Midway through the half Bromyard's pressure told. A through ball sent Lucas Johnston clear and he rounded Bille before scoring.

Bromyard continued to press but the best opportunity again fell to McNicholas but his shot was saved.

With time running out and Bishampton visibly tiring, James collected the ball in the Bishampton area and clipped the ball into the net to earn a share of the spoils.
