VICTORY at Henley Forest on Saturday will guarantee Bretforton Old Boys the Journal Premier Division title.

A brace from Matt Gibbons and a third goal from Paul Jones were sufficient to overcome hosts FISSC and leave the winners five points clear at the top.

The latter were in knockout action and they certainly had Shipston Excelsior on the ropes after a 9-0 R M Smith Cup triumph.

In the same competition, Town's second string live to fight another day after sharing six goals with Spartak Park.

Nick Burrows hit a hat-trick as Badsey Rangers easily accounted for Henley Forest, Darren George scored twice as Alcester Lions continued their excellent season at the expense of Tysoe United.

Scott Whale's treble helped Stratford Spartak to three Herald Division One points at home to Claverdon Old Boys, while wins for Badsey United Reserves and Quinton left them in second and third spots in Cutler Division Two.

The former wrapped up runners-up spot with a 1-1 draw at Alcester Lions on Tuesday, a result that sees the hosts crowned champions.
