ATHLETICS: Young members of Kidderminster and Stourport Athletic Club competed against the best in the country in the National Young Athletes Road Relays at Sutton Park.
The Grainger brothers Matt and Adam ran the 3.8km course in 13 minutes 30 seconds and 15-59 respectively in the U-17s and U-15s events.
The other runners used the 2.35km course.
The U-15 girls A team finished 14th out of 54 teams through Alison Young, 9-32, Liz Dourneen, a personal best of 8-57, and Fay Kitchen, 8-52.
The U-13 boys, who were 21st out of 61 teams, comprised Simon Rudd, 8-31, Aiden Dourneen, a best of 8-46, James Shuck, 9-14, James Humphries, a best of 8-53.
Laura Easton, 10-07, and Claire Cashmore, a best of 9-36, made up the U-15 girls B team.
In the U-13 girls were Charlotte James, 9-36, and Eleanor Laverty, 10-23.
