MOTORSPORT: Kidderminster's Les Minton, with passenger Ken Garfield, made a fine return to top-flight motorcycling trials.
Minton took fifth place in the sidecar class of Bewdley Motor Cycle Club's British Bike National Championships on Sunday.
Run over a 35-mile course starting near Cleobury Mortimer, the sidecar honours went to Doug Sherbourne with passenger Richard Ince.
The best solo Bewdley rider was Nigel Houston who finished fifth in the Trial Bike class.
In the solo section, Peter Salt, of Sandbach, and John Draper's son Nic, of Cheltenham, finished the day without losing a single mark.
The next Bewdley trial is a closed course event on Sunday, April 28.
