BOWLING: Stourport's Vicki Evans won the Ladies Singles Bowls Championship in Tenerife.
Evans has only been bowling for five years and represented England in the contest.
After five rounds of tough competition, she finally beat Ann Jones 21-8 in the final as well as picking up a second place in the mixed pairs.
Evans was presented with a cup and a bottle of champagne by the owner of the Happy Days Bowling Club in Tenerife.
She has returned home to enjoy the summer season of bowling at her Stourport club.
Meanwhile, Kidderminster's B Link fell in the Spring Waterloo national second round in Blackpool, losing 21-11.
