SWIMMING: Kidderminster exile Todd Cooper sent Scottish records tumbling at the British Long Course Championships in Manchester and qualified for the Commonwealth Games.
The teenager, who trains and studies in Stirling, can compete in the 50m, 100m and 200m butterfly as well as the 4x100m relay in July's games in Manchester.
Cooper clinched a national silver after finishing behind James Hickman in the 100m butterfly.
And his 54.09 second time carved 0.32 seconds off the 15-year-old Scottish record.
Cooper also won bronze in the 200m butterfly with a personal best two minutes 0.91 seconds.
In the 50m, he was second fastest in qualifying in 24-71 but did not compete in the final.
His father Gary said: "Todd's been long-course training since Christmas and it's made such a difference. We are very proud of him."
