THE findings of a major project focusing on the needs and aspirations of the town's African and Caribbean Community will be revealed at an event later this month.

Redditch Black History Group is launching the findings of a unique research project on April 27 at an evening with invited guests, including Redditch Chief Supt Patsy Lord and Mayor Dot Dudley.

County council youth education officer Kathy Clement and county assistant director for public health Alec Kendal will also be at the meeting.

The research was paid for by a grant from the Cadbury Trust and West Mercia police with support from NEW College and Redditch Council.

The event, which runs from 6-9pm, is open to anyone and includes a musical performance from women's vocal group Black Voices.

Free refreshments are available.
