CHAIRMAN Jenny Johnson welcomed members to the meeting on March 16.
Speaker Michael Kettle, a dedicated member of the Worcester/Birmingham Canal Society, made a welcome return and with the aid of slides gave a most interesting talk on the history of British canals, with special mention of the restoration of the Droitwich link by volunteers.
On March 26, John Ratcliffe took members on a tour of the Golden Valley in Herefordshire, incorporating village churches, historical houses and gardens, illustrating his talk with slides.
