CONCERNED parents and residents are being urged to write to Alvechurch Parish Council over providing a hard surface area for Rowney Green children to use.
Rowney Green Peace Hall Committee is calling for a purpose-built, safe and flat surface area where youngsters can cycle, skateboard and in-line skate.
The committee stressed the need for this area in parish magazine The Calling Oak.
Alvechurch Parish Council clerk Gill Lungley said it was possible an area of Rowney Green Playing Field, owned by the parish council, could be surfaced for this purpose.
Mrs Lungley said the Rowney Green Playing Field committee would discuss the issue on May 28 and if it agreed to explore the possibility of surfacing a piece of the playing field, the matter would go to the parish council.
