FULL back Adam Hartles was the hero for Arrow Vale after firing their under 16s team into a national final.
The Worcestershire champions soon found themselves 2-0 down at Banbury in the semi final of the English Schools FA Cup against Warriner School.
But in front of 500 partisan fans the visitors clawed their way back with a goal from Tom Parratt in the 65th minute and an equaliser from the same player six minutes from time.
And Hartles made a name for himself in the second period of extra time by firing home the winner to put the school through to the final which is likely to be held at St Andrews or Villa Park and is expected to be televised.
This year's cup run is a first for Arrow Vale and the school will take on Kingshurst Technology College from Solihull in an all Midlands affair.
