A well-known town butchers has promoted one of their employees to be a company director.
Thirty-four-year-old Glyn Richards, from Redditch, joined Banners in Finstall Road five years ago as a meat counter manager after working in Somerfield in Coventry.
One year later he became shop manager and through sheer hard work and determination chairman, David Banner has promoted him to company director to join his sons Christopher and Jon.
David said: ""We're delighted to welcome Glyn to the company.
"He has worked very hard over the time he's worked here and thoroughly deserves the step up in status." Glyn will take up his new post on Wednesday, May 1.
