A TOWN hotel is sponsoring Bromsgrove's annual fun run for the Leukaemia Research Fund and is also providing the prizes for the lucky winners.

Sporting Bromsgrove residents will be dusting off their running shoes to help the charity when they take up the challenge at Bromsgrove Rugby Club, in Finstall Road, Bromsgrove.

The event, which is organised by Nicole Harris, of Redditch Road, Stoke Heath, is being backed by the Hilton Hotel, off Birmingham Road, and its Living Well Health Club.

Both organisations have sponsored the run for many years, along with celebrity actor Mark Williams, who has been involved for 14 years.

Participants can choose between a 10km or a 5km race and all finishers can expect a medal.

The winners of the 10km race will also be awarded a year's subscription to the Living Well Health Club, while the second and third place finalists will scoop a three month subscription to the club.

Prizes will also be given to the first male and female veterans.

Each year the race raises between £4,000 and £5,000 and Leukaemia Research Fund chairman Nicole hopes to match or beat that figure on Sunday, June 16
