A NEW transport company set up following the closure of Redditch Community Transport has started trading.
Responsive Community Transport, based at Pipers Road, Park Farm South, provides specialised transport for disabled people and community or voluntary groups within the Redditch and Studley area.
The company is run by staff who previously worked for Redditch Community Transport and is supported by a number of local businesses including Prudden Road Surfacing Ltd, Headless Cross and town centre pub the Litten Tree.
Director Ron Hale said Responsive Community Transport was keen to continue to develop appropriate transport services for local groups and people with specialist transport requirements.
