IT'S funny how certain songs trigger memories from the dim and distant past.
Even if you're as unfortunate as I am to recall the greatest summer as the one which had Bryan Adams' Everything I Do (I Do It For You) as part of its soundtrack.
That feelgood feeling is all too scarce these days but it returns with a vengeance listening to C'mon, C'mon - what is ultimately a classic 'road trip' album.
I won't pretend I know what cruising in a convertible down Route 66 in summer is like but this, Sheryl Crow's fourth album, gives me a pretty good idea.
Packed with rock 'n' roll and country, the 15-track album features a stack of songs you can sing along to that could form the soundtrack to anyone's summer - a taster of what lies in store is the supremely catchy single Soak Up The Sun.
All this and collaborations with the likes of Don Henley, Emmylou Harris, Dixie Chick Natalie Maines and Lenny Kravitz into the bargain.
