TWELVE athletes from Bromsgrove and Redditch Athletic Club competed at Redditch's Abbey Staduim on Sunday in a Winter Warm Up Meeting.

Some of these athletes were competing in their first competition for the club and all achieved good results, running in age groups from U11s to over 21s.

Natalie Andrews competed in the 150m, 600m and the Long Jump with results of 27 seconds for fifth, 2 mins 19.2 secs for fourth and 2.68m respectively.

Simon Fox ran the 80m in 12.7secs to finish third, 23.8secs in the 150m for third and he also finished fourth in the Long Jump.

Beth Korshinan ran a good 80m in 12.7secs and followed this with second place in the 600m with a time of 2mins 16.3secs and a Long Jump of 3.11m.

James Rosser ran 26.5secs in the 150m and jumped 2.98m for fifth place in the Long Jump.

Matthew Baughan ran 15.6secs for the 100m and was seventh in the Long Jump as well as throwing 7.53m the Javelin.

In the U15s, Daniel Fagan returned to the track with two superb wins and times.

Daniel, who has spent most of the winter playing Rugby, produced a 11.9secs 100m and followed this with a 24.9secs 200m.

The club record for the U15 boys 100m is 11.64secs and 24.28 for the 200m, both set in 1987.

Sarah King was second in the 100m and third in the 200m, Ami Smallwood was fifth in the 100m and produced a good 200m of 30.88secs.
