BROMSGROVE Golf Club's 17-24 Handicap team's season got off to a bad start as they lost their opening league match by two points on Saturday.
Playing at Hatchford Brook Golf Club, the Bromsgrove team recorded an aggregate Stableford score of 254 points but the hosts scored 256.
The visitors' man of the match was Rob Kindon, who scored 39 Stableford points.
Bromsgrove captain Steve Hart said: "Obviously this is not the start we wanted to the 2002 league campaign.
"However, there were some good individual performances. I know the whole Bromsgrove team was disappointed."
