RESIDENTS look set to be in stitches when a popular Droitwich theatre puts on its own sparkling rendition of Love Begins At Fifty.

The farce runs at the Norbury Theatre, in Friar Street, until Saturday.

The play, by Raymond Hopkins, tells the tale of a hapless man who believes he has found the solution to the mid-life crisis.

But he gets more than he bargained for when he looks for some extra marital excitement approaching his 50th birthday.

Theatre director Margaret Burton said: "The cast have thoroughly enjoyed rehearsing the play and we're always looking for new members.

"What with so many coughs and colds about at the moment sometimes it's difficult to get a full rehearsal, but I think we've coped well.

"We hope the public will enjoy a good evening's entertainment."
