IF fuel were to go up it would not affect me personally at all, but I do a lot of voluntary driving for the disabled and it would affect these organisations.

I don't believe the Government needs to put more money into the NHS. There's enough going in, but there is a problem with the management of it. Education does not concern me as both my children are at work.

An increase in tobacco duty would not really worry me - it's not as though I'm a 60-a-day man - I only smoke a pipe occasionally.

An increase in duty on alcohol would annoy me - they're always after the wrong things, the things people enjoy. They're easy targets.

I don't think it is a good idea to put VAT up, to be honest - it would increase the cost of living.
