GOALS have dried up for Stourport Swifts who entertain Weston-Super-Mare tonight (7.45pm), having managed just five goals in their last seven matches.

Player-boss Tim Langford saw his side dispatched 4-1 by Mangotsfield United at the weekend and admits it is a problem not just confined to his forwards.

Langford said: "It's not just strikers but the midfield has not been scoring either.

"You would expect your strikers to get 30 goals a season and your midfielders to chip in with 15 goals but I can't remember Adam Nicholls scoring since Christmas and Tim Nicholls has scored just once.

"We played well against Mangotsfield and kept the ball well but we tended to switch off and we got caught.

"Tonight is going to be a really tough test because Weston are the only side that have really taken us to the cleaners since I've taken over.

"However we will be looking for revenge and also to try and finish the season on a positive note rather than have it peter out."

Langford will be without Richie Gardner who is out for the rest of the season after leaving the field after just 10 minutes with a hamstring problem against Field but keeper Rob Clarke will play despite being sent off on Saturday.
