KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Jan Molby believes striker Colin Larkin will have lifted his goals tally into double figures by the end of the season.

The 19-year-old, on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers until the end of the campaign, has so far scored three times in 16 appearances.

He desperately wants to add to the total by converting the kind of chances that have come his way in recent matches.

Molby said: "He's still only 19 and I think as he gains experience he'll become more composed in front of goal. He gets chances because of his pace and his movement. He takes up some good positions and I think he'll only benefit from the experience he's having here with us.

"He'll go on and become a regular scorer for us but I don't think he's ever going to be prolific because he does enjoy doing his best work on the flanks. But I certainly think he's going to be an excellent striker and he'll get more than his fair share of goals throughout his career.

"I see no reason why he can't get double figures this season. His confidence is still high, he's playing well and his goals will come."

Harriers club captain Ian Clarkson is also backing Larkin to reach double figures. He said: "If you conducted a straw poll throughout the Third Division managers, most would pick him in their team and I firmly believe he will reach double figures by the end of the season."
