KINGSLEY Jones belie-ves the inspired form of Jim Jenner is leading the way for the more experienced forwards at Worcester.

The Sixways skipper, who has been struggling for form be-cause of niggling hamstring injuries, admits the recent displays from the former Newcastle Falcon have been a big boost to the rest of the squad.

"It's good to see him performing well," said Jones.

"In a way he is leading the way for some of us lately, I think that has been obvious to everyone.

"If his form dips hopefully me, Nathan Carter or Christian Evans and Ben Clarke can pick it up for him.

"Obviously what we would all like is for 15 players to hit purple patches but it doesn't often work like that."

Jenner's good run, however, has come after a punctuated start from the number eight after his return from the North East.

The 30-year-old, after starting the first six league games of the season, was dropped following Worcester's devastating home defeat to Coventry and had to sit out the RFU Senior Cup win at Lydney in October.

Jenner's comeback, though, has been impressive, culminating in a last-gasp try to seal a bonus point in the 32-6 victory over Bracknell last month.

And for Jones, Jenner's form is a triumph for coach John Brain's man management and rotation of his hefty squad.

"The way John handled Jim has been very good," he added.

"Since Jim was left out he spoke to John and he told him exactly what he was looking for.

"He's taken that on board, come back strongly and delivered in matches.

"He is playing really well at the moment and I am pleased for him because he's a genuinely nice guy."
