COLWALL were hosts to top of the West Premier League Div 1 (Ladies) table Lansdown hoping to build on recent form against their local rivals.
COLWALL 0, LANSDOWN 1
Lansdown had suffered their first defeat of the season the previous week, which had given Colwall a spark of confidence.
The match was evenly balanced throughout and both teams had excellent passages of play.
Colwall, however, had considerable periods of possession, attacking well down the right through player of the match Karen Hackley.
The second half saw some of Colwall's best hockey this season however, just as the game was in its final minutes, with a deserved draw on the cards, Lansdown capitalised on a short corner.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Colwall are away to Gloucester, Plock Court, 10am.
