FLOODLIGHTS have now been installed on the all-weather astro turf pitches at Malvern Girls' College, which adds greatly to the uses of this facility.
It will mean that not only the College, but also many local clubs will be able to use these pitches during the winter evenings.
Outside clubs are able to book them from 6.30-9.30pm at £38 per hour (contact Jane Smallwood, head of Physical Education on 01684 584637 during working hours). The pitches can be used for hockey, lacrosse, netball or training purposes.
A number of clubs have already taken advantage of the resource, together with the Junior County lacrosse and hockey squads for training and trials.
Jane Smallwood said: "A number of MGC girls are members of the County and Regional squads for hockey and lacrosse and we are very pleased to encourage the pursuit of excellence in these young people by being able to provide these marvellous facilities."
